CETEX (Center of Excellence for Textiles) is a cluster constructed to facilitate co-operation amongst its members and actors of different industrial clusters across Europe and worldwide to generate business and innovation opportunities and thus, to serve development of members of textile sector in Turkey on every industrial level. To do so, it comprises a wide spectrum of specialized members from spinoff companies focusing on development of specific technologies to be adapted to textile processes, to sectoral giants having fully-integrated facilities with the most developed production and R&D infrastructure, as well as governmental and non-governmental institutions and internationally accredited testing laboratories serving the textile sector. For its member SMEs from sub-sectors including fibre production and yarn spinning, weaving and knitting, textile finishing, textile testing and measurement, and apparel manufacturing, CETEX offers an ecosystem where they can easily collaborate for development and implementation of novel technologies as well as engaging in well-constructed business activities.

CETEX founders are professors and academicians from Istanbul Technical University. Being the sole textile business and R&D company located at Istanbul Technical University ARI Technology Development Zone in Turkey, CETEX hereby encourages the information and technology flow between universities, companies and textile market by creating business and R&D project solutions together with cross-sectoral and cross-regional collaborations within and beyond the partnership.

CETEX investigates the needs of enterprises in order to increase cooperation and promote modernization of the textile industry by developing one-stop-shop solutions together with its large network of industrial partners backed with a high level of expertise on production and research activities.

The mission of CETEX is to increase competitiveness and modernization in textile industry by offering training, R&D management, networking and promotion services for its members.
